Trip Information

I joined Sunrise Tours for the Tokyo Afternoon tour.  Trip started around 1:40pm and lasted approximately 3 1/2 hours.  I was referred to Sunrise Tours (http://www.jtb.co.jp/sunrisetour/) by the concierge at Keio Plaza Inter-Continental hotel.  Itinerary includes:

  1. Imperial Palace Plaza - short photo stop at the outer garden of the Palace.

  2. Drive through of Ginza shopping district

  3. Asakusa Kannon Temple - the oldest and most popular temple in Tokyo.

  4. Nakamise Shopping Street - a coloful shopping arcade leading to the temple, crammed with tiny food and souvenir shops.

  5. Sumida River Cruise - a 40 minutes boat ride from Asakusa to Hinode pier of Tokyo Bay.  The river was the most important waterway for the development of Tokyo.

  6. Seaside Top - Enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo from the observatory "Seaside Top" on the 40th floor of the World Trade Center Building.
