In the French region of Haute Savoie, Tête du Parmelan (1802 m) is a popular hiking destination.  The mountain overlooks Lake Annecy and is characterized by a vast plate of delicately water-carved lapiaz (see picture below).

This plate runs between the Vallée du Fier on the south-western side, and Fillière on the north-eastern side.
